Sometimes you get lucky ! On a trip to Karekare beach I noticed some sticks planted in the sand. No need to stage anything, just a question of finding the right angle. It was late afternoon and I wanted to try and retain the shadows the sticks made. As you can see the wind - coming off the Tasman Sea - leaves its own imprint in the black sand.Welcome to my photography blog! Please take the time to look around. My photographs have been published in award winning magazine 'Journeys' which has picked up the 'Consumer Magazine Of The Year 2013' award. This publication is available in WHSmith stores and online. If you would like to purchase framed versions, mounted pictures or greeting cards, a selection are available direct from my website - ahfineartphotography.com. Kind Regards, Alex.
