This photograph was taken on a cloudless night. In the tradition of true skyscrapers, the design of the International Finance Centre is simple, strong and memorable. A great obelisk in the scale of the city and the harbour, it culminates in a sculptural crown that celebrates the height of the tower reaching to the sky. The top of the building was designed as a welcoming gesture to the city, and when lit at night it is a shimmering beacon close to Victoria Harbour.
