Arataki Carving

The Arataki Visitor Centre is a special place to stop off at as you make your way into the heart of the Waitakeres (West of Auckland). This place is a great resource for information and is fabulously positioned. The views of the surrounding rainforest are superb. Carvings created by local Iwi (tribe), Te Kawerau a Maki, draw you into this special place. Take a camera and prepare to be wowed ! For more information please see the link list to the right of this post ('Arataki Visitor Centre').
